Congrats on your sale!

Congratulations!! You’ve sold your home and are moving! Feel free to print out this list to make your move easier.

• Once you have established a final closing date, arrange a mover, or a truck, and get your help organized. Don’t wait till the last minute or you may find yourself stranded with no mover or no help.
• Start to use up frozen foods. They are heavy and cumbersome to move.
• Start packing today! Typically a closing date may be 60-90 days down the road. If you just pack one box a day, your move will be a snap. If you find something you don’t want or need, now is the time to throw it out or save it for a “garage sale”.
• Attend your local postal outlet and begin notifying everyone with your new address and when it will take effect.
• Arrange a garage sale just prior to moving. If you can’t sell it, give it away! No use in moving it twice.
• Send out furniture or draperies just prior to moving so that they can be cleaned and returned to your new address.
• If you have pets, make arrangements to have someone watch them or arrange a day at a boarding kennel.
